Pricing and Plans
A Diode Collab Zone will have different features depending on the plan it is subscribed to. When a Zone is created, it starts on the default free Nomad plan. If desired, it can be upgraded to a higher plan via the Settings page.
#How to Upgrade
You can upgrade a Zone by purchasing a plan - when you purchase a plan, you will be emailed a receipt code that can be entered into the Zone to upgrade it.
Here is a video demonstrating upgrading a Zone’s plan:
#Plans and Features
All plans get group and direct E2EE chat, E2EE file collaboration, E2EE asset connectivity, secure markdown file editing, link sharing, and as much storage as your devices can handle (aka “Unlimited Storage” and unlimited chat history). We want everyone to have the core capabilities needed to protect their assets and operate securely at the pace of innovation.
Plans are generally billed per user. Users in the special “In Moderation” role are not billed.
See the table below for details on other features that vary from plan to plan. The definitive pricing page is on the Diode website.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Team Members | Team Members can chat with each other in an integrated environment that has access to their work content. Work content can include files, devices/assets, and dashboards/web content. Members can also publish web links and edit notes/files. Chat can be direct messages (1:1) or group chat channels. |
Roles | Team Members can be assigned different roles, that give them different permissions. Each Zone may only have one Owner. |
Group Chat Channels | Team Members can chat in a group setting in a channel designated for a given topic. Channels can be made public, announcement, or private. |
Web Links | Web Links allow browser-based preview, upload, and download. They are used to share files and folders with others who do not have Diode Collab installed. |
Invitation Codes | Invitation codes are used to invite new Team Members to join a Zone (as opposed to explicitly inviting each Team Member via their username) |
File Editor | All Zones have a markdown editor built-in so team members can quickly take notes or create documentation. |
File Backup | “Deleted Files Backup” - turn on file backups to protect files from accidental deletion. |
File Sync Policy | A Zone’s File Sync Policy allows its file sync settings to be set to Off (download on demand), Auto-Upload, Two-Way, or Members can choose. |
Web Link Branding | A Zone’s web link landing page (aka Share Page) can be customized to use a custom logo, company name, and footer message. |
Bookmarks | Bookmarks are quick links to files, folders, secure web browsing, and P2P dashboards that your team uses frequently. |
Regional Tunnels (Secure Browsing) | A Zone can provide securely tunneled bookmarks to websites or webpages that can be loaded in the Diode Collab over a secure link. These links can “exit” into the Internet in any region. You can use a third party exit node, or you can run one yourself for your team to use. |
P2P Dashboards (Web3 Bookmarks) | P2P dashboards are end-to-end encrypted Diode tunneling links to remote assets. This is often used to access secure self-hosted/private-cloud websites, private server dashboards, or operational technology equipment dashboards/configurator interfaces. |
Network Management | The powerful DIode Network is “under the hood” of the DIode Collab and is the core system that allows end-to-end encrypted communications without using . The Network Management feature allows an IT or technically-minded person to manage network routing of web pages, APIs, or other assets that you want your team to have access to. |
Support | The Diode team provides email support to help you or Team Members with questions or problems. A variety of support levels can be provided - including custom service level agreements. |
