Linked Devices
You can add any number of Linked Devices to your Diode Collab Account - for example, a laptop, a phone, and a desktop computer.
These Linked Devices use a self-custody blockchain identity contract to manage your account, all with the same permissions. You can manage your Linked Devices from the Profile area under “Linked Devices”.
See using Linked Devices for more information.
#Master Device
The very first device you sign up with is your “Master Device” - it is the only one that will allow you to save a backup code. You must save this backup code in a safe place - if you lose access to your account, it is the only way to recover it.
Additionally, the Master Device is sometimes required to join new networks. From time to time Diode Collab adds support for additional blockchain networks, allowing Zones and other “security perimeters” to be anchored in the new network. If you want your account to be able to interoperate with these new networks, your Master Device must be active - it is the only device authorized to add your account to the new network. Note that you can restore your Master Device from the backup code. Running multiple devices as a Master Device is not supported - it will have unreliable operation.
