What is the Dioder Profile Boost?

The Dioder Profile Boost is an individual account boost that you can get for your Diode Collab account. This boost gives you special “powers” in the app - like being able to react with emojis in Zones that don’t already support emoji reactions.

You can get this boost by sending DIODE to your Account’s identity wallet and then using the desktop app to apply the boost.

Here are detailed instructions:

• 1 | Acquire some DIODE in a blockchain wallet on the Moonbeam network. You can acquire DIODE two ways:

  • Get some on Stellaswap (using MetaMask or other supported wallet)
  • Participate in the Diode Foundation Referral Program and receive DIODE as rewards

• 2 | Send DIODE to your Moonbeam Account Address (you have to have DIODE in your Account Address, aka identity wallet, to boost it)

  • Your Account Address is shown on the Dioder Profile Boost settings page, and also on the - for example:

• 3 | Open Diode Collab on Desktop (mobile is not supported due to store restrictions), open your Profile menu, and go to the Dioder Profile Boost page

  • If you successfully sent some tokens in the previous step, you should see some “Available Tokens” under your Account Address.
  • Select how many months you want to boost for - this will change the “Tokens” required. You must have at least as many tokens in your Account Address as the required Tokens.
  • Click “Boost”! After about 30 seconds, you should see your status changed to “Active”

• 4 | Boost permissions are now unlocked!

  • You can now react with emojis and start audio/video streams on any Zone, even if the Zone plan doesn’t have the respective features.
  • In the future, you will see a banner reminding you to re-boost if your boost will expire in the next week.
